AddressHero is a Shopify web application owned and developed by BlickSolutions GmbH, a company registered in Germany. AddressHero is available as a web application within the Shopify App Store ecosystem. AddressHero provides address validation and confirmation services to facilitate shipping and deliveries. AddressHero is intended to help merchants maximize their profits and reduce unnecessary costs. It is free to install, however additional charges may apply.

This Privacy Policy details how personal data and information obtained through or in connection with AddressHero is collected, stored and disclosed. In addition, this Privacy Policy sets forth the rights granted to users of AddressHero with respect to their personal data.

When used in this Privacy Policy, the following capitalized terms shall have the meanings set forth below, unless the context requires otherwise:

“AddressHero” shall refer to the web application built by BlickSolutions and available for installation on the Shopify App Store ecosystem.

“BlickSolutions” shall refer to BlickSolutions GmbH, a company registered in Germany, with a registered address located at Walramstrasse 23, 65510 Idstein, Hessen, Germany.

“Non-Personal Data” shall refer to information that cannot be used to personally identify a specific person. Non-Personal Data may include anonymous usage data, demographic information and preferences generated.

“Order” shall refer to an order for one (1) address verification Service submitted by a User through AddressHero.

“Personal Data” shall refer to information that personally identifies or relates to a specific person.

“Privacy Policy” shall refer to the most recent version of this Privacy Policy, including any updates made to these Privacy Policy.

“Services” shall refer to all services offered by AddressHero, including, without limitation, address validation and confirmation services and other ancillary services.

“Third Party Links” shall refer to links to third party websites, platforms, and/or applications provided on the Webpage.

“Users” shall refer to Shopify merchants who use AddressHero. Any individual user of AddressHero shall be referred to as a “User”.

“Webpage” shall refer to the webpage describing AddressHero and providing the link for its installation and the purchase of Orders.

When conducting its business activities and operating AddressHero, BlickSolutions complies with all applicable data protection and privacy legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The GDPR applies to Users located or residing in the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA).

By accessing the Webpage or installing and using AddressHero, Users agree to be bound by and subject to this Privacy Policy.

By using AddressHero, and/or providing Personal Data to BlickSolutions, Users consent to BlickSolutions’ collection, usage, and disclosure of Personal Data and Non-Personal Data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

If a User does not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, the User’s sole recourse shall be to refrain from using the Webpage and AddressHero.

BlickSolutions may collect both Non-Personal Data and Personal Data from Users. Personal Data consists of information that can be used to personally identify Users. Personal Data may include a User’s name, residential address, email address and other similar personal information.

Upon installing and using AddressHero, placing an Order or otherwise obtaining Services, BlickSolutions shall gain access to the User’s Shopify account. Users understand that BlickSolutions may collect information regarding Users’ online Shopify stores as well as data regarding Orders, addresses and customers.

Users are not required to submit any Personal Data to use the Webpage and AddressHero. However, Users may voluntarily provide Personal Data, such as their names and email addresses, to receive updates or marketing materials.

Users shall access and use AddressHero through their existing Shopify accounts.

Nonetheless, Users may voluntarily submit their names and email addresses to BlickSolutions solely to allow BlickSolutions to share updates regarding AddressHero and share marketing newsletters.

BlickSolutions may obtain Non-Personal Data regarding Users, such as the type of browser used to access AddressHero, the device used to access AddressHero, and the dates and times AddressHero was used. Non-Personal Data shall not allow for the identification of Users, and shall consist of anonymous data.

BlickSolutions may, periodically, conduct surveys in connection with AddressHero and the Webpage. Participation in surveys shall be strictly voluntary. Unless otherwise stated, all data collected in connection with completed surveys shall be anonymous and shall not allow for the responding User’s identification.

BlickSolutions shall use Personal and Non-Personal Data collected to fulfill the purpose for which the data was collected. BlickSolutions’ usage of Personal and Non-Personal Data shall be based on the terms of this Privacy Policy. BlickSolutions’ usage of Personal and Non-Personal Data shall be limited to the extent required by BlickSolutions’ legitimate business interests and in compliance with the requirements set forth by applicable data protection laws.

BlickSolutions may use the information derived from Users’ Shopify accounts for authentication purposes. Accordingly, BlickSolutions may use the data from Users’ Shopify accounts, including but not limited to data regarding Orders, addresses and customers, to properly authenticate Users.

BlickSolutions may use the information from Users’ Shopify accounts to fulfill Orders placed by Users and perform the Services. More specifically, BlickSolutions may use the data from Users’ Shopify stores to provide the Services. BlickSolutions may forward the address data to the Google Maps Address Validation API. BlickSolutions may also use such User data to validate addresses, and for AddressHero to provide the corresponding Services.

Users acknowledge and agree that BlickSolutions may use Personal and Non-Personal Data to fulfill the purpose for which Users provided such data. Accordingly, BlickSolutions may use Users’ data to respond to inquiries, provide customer support, and handle claims with respect to AddressHero. As such, BlickSolutions may use Users’ data to notify them of applicable updates to this Privacy Policy.

BlickSolutions may share newsletters and other marketing materials with Users by email. Users may submit their email addresses to BlickSolutions on the Webpage or otherwise for such purposes. Users shall have the option to opt out or unsubscribe from BlickSolutions’ newsletter or other marketing communications by following the instructions provided in the relevant emails.

BlickSolutions may disclose Personal and Non-Personal Data if required by law, or to respond to a lawful legal request, such as a subpoena or court order. BlickSolutions may share such data to comply with an applicable court order, legal obligation, or applicable law.

BlickSolutions may use Personal and Non-Personal Data to investigate any violation or potential violation of BlickSolutions’ policies, including but not limited to its Terms of Service.

BlickSolutions may use Personal and Non-Personal Data for business and commercial purposes as permitted by data privacy laws such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union.

In accordance with applicable legislation, BlickSolutions shall not use additional categories of Personal Data for purposes extending beyond those specified in this Privacy Policy, unless Users have provided their prior written consents to BlickSolutions.

BlickSolutions shall not sell, trade, rent or otherwise share Personal and Non-Personal Data with third parties without Users’ prior consent. Notwithstanding the previous sentence, BlickSolutions may share Personal and Non-Personal Data with the Google Maps Address Validation API to allow for the provision of the Services and the fulfillment of Orders. BlickSolutions shall only share such Personal and Non-Personal Data with Google Maps Address Validation API to the extent necessary for the API to assist with the performance of the Services and the fulfillment of Orders.

BlickSolutions reserves the right to share Personal and Non-Personal Data with authorized third-party service providers to allow them to perform duties that BlickSolutions has assigned, delegated or subcontracted to them, including processing payments and verifying customer information.

BlickSolutions implemented solutions and measures to protect Personal and Non-Personal Data against unauthorized access and disclosure. These precautionary solutions and measures are intended to protect and safeguard Personal and Non-Personal Data from leaks and other breaches.

Accordingly, Personal and Non-Personal Data may only be accessed only by BlickSolutions’ designated employees and authorized third-party service providers with a legitimate need to know the information.

Despite implementing protective solutions and measures, BlickSolutions is unable to guarantee that the protection of Personal and Non-Personal Data is impenetrable. As such, BlickSolutions recognizes that despite its best efforts, BlickSolutions cannot guarantee that Personal and Non-Personal Data shall not be unlawfully accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed. Users acknowledge that no security system and policies can be completely secure, and as such, BlickSolutions cannot guarantee the full security of Personal and Non-Personal Data.

Depending on the jurisdiction in which Users reside, Users may benefit certain rights concerning their Personal Data. Such rights may consist of the right to access, correct, update, or delete their Personal Data, the right to object to or restrict the processing of their Personal Data, and the right to data portability. To exercise any of the rights granted, Users shall submit a written request to BlickSolutions based on the terms of this Privacy Policy. Requests may be sent by email to support@addresshero.app.

In compliance with applicable legislation, Users have the right to be informed of BlickSolutions’ collection and usage of their Personal Data. As stated in this Privacy Policy, BlickSolutions shall collect Personal Data that is voluntarily provided by Users in order to receive updates and marketing materials regarding AddressHero. Further, BlickSolutions shall collect Personal Data obtained from or disclosed in Users’ Shopify stores.

If Users believe that their Personal Data held by BlickSolutions is erroneous or incorrect, Users may submit a written notice to BlickSolutions requesting the rectification or correction of their Personal Data. Users may also request for BlickSolutions to add or supplement their Personal Data, if needed.

As per applicable laws, Users have the right to request the deletion of their Personal Data which BlickSolutions collected. As stated in this Privacy Policy, as a principle. BlickSolutions’ standard data retention period shall be for a maximum of thirty (30) days. If Users deem this deadline to be too short, Users may submit a written request for early deletion.

Users have the right to request a copy of their Personal Data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. In accordance with the GDPR, Users may also download their Personal Data in a readable format.

BlickSolutions does wish nor intend to collect Personal Data from minors. If it is brought to BlickSolutions’ attention that it has collected Personal Data from a minor, BlickSolutions shall promptly delete such data.

If a User has not reached the age of majority in the User’s country of residence, the User may only use AddressHero with the approval and knowledge of the User’s parent or legal guardian. The minor User may only use AddressHero while accompanied and supervised by the User’s parent or legal guardian, as applicable.

BlickSolutions shall maintain and store Personal and Non-Personal Data in its servers. Unless otherwise specified, all Personal Data and data relating to Orders shall be retained by BlickSolutions for a maximum of thirty (30) days. As such, the storage of data relating to Orders shall be for thirty (30) days as of the date of the placement of the Order. This duration complies with data minimization obligations and limits the scope of data held by BlickSolutions, thereby ensuring Personal Data is promptly removed from BlickSolutions’ servers.

BlickSolutions may retain Personal and Non-Personal Data for longer periods to comply with its legal obligations. In addition, BlickSolutions may store and maintain Personal Data beyond the standard retention period for purposes of processing payments and in case of conflicts.

The Webpage may include Third Party Links. The Third Party Links are external to AddressHero and BlickSolutions. The inclusion of Third Party Links on the Webpage shall not be construed as BlickSolutions’s endorsement of the Third Party Links.

Despite the inclusion of Third Party Links on the Webpage, Users acknowledge that BlickSolutions is not responsible for the privacy practices of the third-party services or websites linked on the Webpage. Users recognize that this Privacy Policy shall apply solely to Personal and Non-Personal Data collected through AddressHero. This Privacy Policy does not apply to Third Party Links provided or referenced by BlickSolutions on the Webpage.

BlickSolutions may update this Privacy Policy, at any time and at its discretion. If BlickSolutions updates this Privacy Policy, the updated Privacy Policy shall be published on the Webpage.

Any updates to this Privacy Policy shall be effective upon the date specified in the updated Privacy Policy, or upon the date at which Users were notified of the updated Privacy Policy, whichever is earlier. It is Users’ responsibility to review this Privacy Policy periodically to remain informed of the changes made.

Continued usage of AddressHero following the publication of an updated Privacy Policy shall signify Users’ agreement to be bound by and subject to the updated Privacy Policy.

BlickSolutions invites Users to send an email if they have any questions regarding this Privacy Policy, or wish to exercise any right granted by this Privacy Policy or by law. Users understand that certain questions or requests may require verifications, which may delay BlickSolutions’ response time. BlickSolutions endeavors to respond to questions and inquiries in a timely manner.
